not too long ago I made the comment that some people make faces and they do, as folk-tale mothers have said, they do get stuck that way.
but I have to say -- I'm not so sure today. No, today I think the face we make is not a fate... and this is good.
But I also realized that the ugliest face, even Eeyore's (maybe) might have its own advantages. It's in my hard, caustic faces that I find a kind of my creativity and the strength to give that forgotten quality of integrity (independence).
I think I may even pull off the interview I have in two hours, even though I haven't slept all night.
The following is a good quote which reflects my major qualm with the way most people I have known (of both sexes) like to have sex.
Thucydides: "Of all manifestations of power, restraint impresses men most."
Frighteningly, it's one of Colin Powell's favourites as well.
Gee, I hope all the friends I don't have on here wish me luck!
