Well tomorrow we theoretically move back on the ship while it's being re-painted. I say theoretically because everything has changed 4 times before becoming definite.
The week in the hotel was nice, the visit by my love was wonderful, and the fact that today was a day off was a nice change of pace.
Saturday morning I was subjected to the notice that the Mate on the ship who had spent the whole time in shipyard in air conditioning sitting on his ass accused me of dropping the ball on a project, by intending to do the project too well of all things.
This comes as we find out that the Captain is evaluating the crew to decide who stays and who goes.
I'm not worried, I'm the most experienced Able Seaman on the ship, but ultimately I'd rather leave the ship to go to one of the smaller ones if that mate stays on. The up side is that the Mate in question is now being compared to a new Mate we got on board who's been non stop working with me on all my projects and has been kicking serious ass... so I'm hoping he stays and the old one goes.

Does that offend seamen? Cause, hell yes Mates sounds much better than "co-worker." Maybe i'll jsut start calling everyone mate, but I don't wanna sound all British.
Anyways, glad to hear things are going alright, Hope to see you sooooon.
