strayed from the path, lost and frozen, wandering for miles in the wrong direction

cavernous emptiness,absolute longing to be safe, to be warm, to be engulfed and enfolded,

broken, a crack in the ceiling, spreading ever outward,mired in helplessness,

treading lightly, from ice flow to ice flow, path unknown,reaching out for warmth,

to be filled with fire,breathing in another breath, hand encircled, momentarily filling the

blackness, frost bit, rubbing and rubbing until warmth returns to my soul
