oh shit. i really don't want to become a "where are they now" member. so here is a bit of an update.
i havent had much timeas of late. but when do I really? if you know me, you know Im pretty much nuts. Since Ive moved and settled down a bit (yes believe it) I am so so very happy. This past weekend was our annual Batizado (click for details). Anyways, it went off super and I went on to my next level of training.
OHHHHH and my baby was SKIPPED A CORD!! (belt) rare for a child. After he played a master or two for his next level, a little speach was given on an "amazing student" MY BABY!! and in the blink of an eye my 9 year old was playing as hard as he could against some of this worlds best Mestres of Capoeira. All at once not one at a time! I cried. The emotion of watching him grow with such strength and indepence took over. And this makes motherhood even more spectacular. A mother and her son sharing this passion. I also knwo that 2 Mestres had to wipe tears from their eyes and be strong. It really does take a village my friends. Don't forget that.
(shortly before my lil man played all of the men in yellow.. if you know anything of capoeira and see who they are.. cry now!!)
(my man(blue cord) in action "maculele") mah babies!
other than that.. I work.. I play mommy and BOSS!
oh yes I am always the boss.. I have control issues.. but whatever YOU LOVE IT!
now Im just showing him off.. seriously amazing capoeirista
yes he is in the air and actually lands on his hands without his feet and body touching the ground.
