Hey, I am actually going to update instead of posting a completely random picture...
I survived writing the rough draft of my term paper for my Sed Strat class. The paper discusses the Navajo Sandstone, which was formed in an arid tropical environment capable of sustaining life. Most tropical arid deserts are thought to be hostile environments where no life is possible. Through fossil (skeletal and trace) findings within the sandstone I am discussing how life is possible. I was going to take the paper one step furthur and show how it could be an analog to life on Mars, but that would take a lot more time. I am currently catching up on homework in which there are only 2 more weeks of class left, and then finals.
I finished compiling my class schedule for next semester, it will be a fairly easy semester. Calc II, Chem II, Structural Geology, Geology of California and an independant study in Geography. 13 credits total. All I need after is Winter 2005 semester is my summer firld course (3 credits, 2 weeks long) and then I will have my Bachelors of Science. YAY!! for me...
I have decidd to stay at Western for grad school. I have it in pretty good in this department. I get along great with most of the profs, and I really like the prof that I want to do my graduate studies with. I really haveno clue what specific part of geology I want to study, so I really have no reason to move on to a different school yet. After my masters I will need to move on. Too much schooling at one school is referred to as imbreeding. Plus I do not think that I am ready to move away from my family yet.
After discussing grad school with my father, I told him that I would liketo buy a house here and fix it up while in school. I will be here for 3 years for grad school, so during that time I could not waste my rent money and put it to use. I assumed my Dad would laugh at my idea, but actually he was really, really supportive ofthe idea. He said I have the ambition, he has the time, and we both have the skill necessary to fix-up a house. So I am really geeked about the idea of owning my own house
I am going home on Thursday for Thanksgiving, and for my contribution I am making assorted breads for dinner. I decided to make an experimental loaf of pumpkin bread (w/ a bread machine ) to see how I need to tweak the recipe to work in there. It turned out perfectly!! I have eaten about 1/2 the loaf so far, I can't keep my grubby little fingers off of it. Me love pumpkin......
Well, I need to get back to my homework. Hope you all had fun at PHP. My Dad came to visit me this weekend, so that was more important to me. Sorry...
Till mext time...

Southside dojo sounds good. I'm going to have to look into that when and if I start making money again...
