So I was about to check out that Rhapsody music service last night, but a little voice in my head said, "Hey, SadPanda, it's too late. You'll be up until 3AM listening to music, you whore." And I was like, "Who you callin a whore, scruffy?"
And lo and behold, Yahoo opens its music store, and its significantly cheaper. But it's not compatible with my little iPod.
At the same time, it occurs to me that a cheaper service is giving less money to the artist (which I guess Yahoo can wrangle due to its sheer clout). So I'm torn. Rhapsody, which works with the iPod; Yahoo Music, which is much cheaper but is a fussy bitch; or stick with iTunes and own my music (and presumably transfer more money to the musicians and whatnot).
Well, I'm glad life is such that I can ponder such esoteric things. But that's cold comfort, dammit.
