why yes, waking up at noon and starting my day with some duke ellington and a venti iced mocha sounds lovely,
thank you. hello tuesday!
so, did anyone go to the echo last nite? i did. i went BY MYSELF because i have such a lack of friends. i tried to show up closest to lavender diamond's start time as to avoid standing around and being accosted. haha because you know, all those psych folk neo hippies are very violent. what? it's the mocha talking, sorry. anyway, i guess i showed up a little early because i got to see WINTER FLOWERS, who i had been hoping to catch. they are pretty good live, and their chick singer is a hot one. they have a residency this month at the echo, i think every monday, so you should all check them out if you have some time. LAVENDER DIAMOND was perfect. becky is inspiring. she's hilarious! they opened with 'you broke my heart' and i swear the way her voice resounds pierces a knife through my heart. i literally almost teared up. i possibly could attribute that to the EX FACTOR, but fuck that. hahaha. it was becky's presence. please please please check them out. they're opening for the decemberists at the wiltern. if you're going to that show, don't fucking miss the opener!
i do believe i will spend today reading dave eggers and select mcsweeney's short stories. thank the stars for both being in existence, because they might be the most grand thing around my town.
the clouds must be fucking with my brain today. excuse all my dorkiness. oh, here is a picture, considering that (like the majority of the girls on this site), i am a chameleon of sorts and look much different these days.
i can only make stupid faces when taking pictures of myself. goodbye.

I always try to catch a bit of the opening band. It's a great way to find new music. Unfortunately, I missed Lavender Diamond at Sunset Junction. I've heard good things about them.
But you seem to be in a pretty introspective, quiet place here, so I'm going to surmise that everything is cool. I feel old when I come here.
'bye
