The "Project". Part 3
I've got about 70 to 75% of the site done as far as the layout and pages are concerned. After a few blunders as far as the coding goes, I came up with an easier and more time friendly way to go. I'm not doing any of the coding for the site anymore. I picked a site that allowed me a choice of templates that I could tweak to fit what I wanted. Kinda simple but it works. Just frees me up to not have to re-learn all my HTML training that I got years ago. I never enjoyed it anyway. Soooooo boring. Now I can just concentrate on the artwork and other things I have in mind.
I can add a domain name so that was a plus and it allows for videos, mp3's, photos, comments, email sign up for site notifications, site stats, password protected pages, and as many blogs as I can write. Free! Of course if I need even more space then money will be involved but I'll worry about that later. I had a different idea when I started the project but you roll with change and adapt to it.
So with the holidays approaching, I've lost any notion of a time frame for it to be finished. My personal life has changed as well. I just switched to a vegetarian diet and added Yoga to my workout routine so it has been another learning curve for me. Really getting into Shintoism and cut down on drinking. I still love a good Guinness but it is now a treat to have one. So far the changes have been a great experience.
Happy Holidays to everyone!
