allright fer all you that don't know..i have been apprenticing to be a tattoo artist for aboot 9 months....in january i will be purchasing my first machine. During my 9 months at my shop, i have had to learn from 4 artists, who all do things differently so it has been a real challenge, but at the same time extremely rewarding! i have learned a lot, i know all aboot cross-contamination, i can take down and set up a station with perfect ease, i make stencils and i know how to clean tips and grips and how to break down needles and clean the bars, i can run the autoclave and the seismic sterilizer flawlessly! and i sorta know how to make needles, i haven't made any real useful ones. i can draw better than i ever have in my life and i have soooo much confidence now, i feel so good aboot what i am doing! i can talk to everyone and price the tattoo accurately and i keep a neat and tidy shop. anyways, i am getting my first machine, this is a HUGE step for me, this is a marriage, i am devoting my life to this machine and i am sick with excitement and the reality of it all. why am i telling you this?......because i am in love with my job! this is my life!
so this is what i need you guys to do...i need you all to tell me what you think a good tattoo artist should be and what you expect from your artist....what do you look for when you meet an artist, and any info aboot this subject that you can offer me! i want to be the best artist i can....CUZ YOUR ALL GETTING INKED BY ME!!!!!!!!
