BANANA: term for an asian person who has been "westernized." More simply, yellow on the outside, and white on the inside. (see also TWINKIE)

its weird.. i remember when i was a little kid.. i used to think of myself being more japanese than i was white. i don't know if it was because i looked like a cute little asian kid, or because i harbored some kind of resentment for my mother. but everytime i'd have to fill out some kind of paper for school, i would always mark the spot that said 'asian.'

now that i'm all 'grown up' (whatever that means..) i find that i've become very very white. i don't mind.. its who i am. i just find it kinda funny that the white person living within me has slowly seeped through my skin to the outside.
i'm pretty sure i'm just asian in heritage.. not in my being.

pretty strange that this was triggered by a painting.. heh
