I'm trying to decide what is the best word to describe sleeping last night.....I guess perfect would be the right one.
I went to bed around 11:30. 2 of 3 bedroom windows were 1/4 open, but not a breeze moving through them to flutter the curtains. I hadn't been under the covers for more than 10 minutes, when I heard the low rumble of thunder, from far off lightening. A couple of minutes after that, I could hear the raindrops start to fall. I pulled the covers up tight under my chin and I know that I was asleep in less than a minute. I don't think I dreamed or woke up once the whole night....it was.....perfect.
Luckily, we missed all the bad stormy weather, that they had so loudly predicted for us. We were under every kind of tornado, wind and severe weather watch you can think of....but it all went somewhere else and all we got was a nice gentle 1/3 inch rain.
Today is the weekly trip to town for groceries, errands and Mom gets her hair done.....I can tell that she always feels a little better when she comes out of the shop with her hair all done up.
I've decided not to fret quite so much about a few things that don't get done in a timely manner outside in the yard and around the house. I can only do so much in a day and taking good care of Mom is the priority.....the rest will have to wait and just get done when it gets done.
TGIF everyone!
