I don't think I've ever seen snow melt so fast. Once the sun came out yesterday, it was meltin' like a cat on a hot tin roof! Wait, that didn't exactly make sense....but I think you know what I mean.
It was strange when I went out to get the paper this morning, to hear all the song birds singing and to see all the snow that is on the ground.....it just didn't add up right. The snow will be gone soon enough and spring will rein supreme.....I'm sure of it! I have a soft spot for robins and I've felt bad for them the last few days. It's been much colder and snowier than they would like it...but they were out and about this morning...hoping along in the bare patches of the lawn.
Today I have a tractor to work on....it's running a little ruff and needs a good tune up. So, it will be an afternoon of dirty fingernails and the smell of oil, fuel and grease....which for me is not at all unpleasant. At the least it will make me feel like I'm earning my keep around here. I have been reluctant to work in my shop very much this winter, due to the high cost of propane and the fact that a large shop area takes a lot of propane to keep it heated to satisfactory working temps. Once the weather finally turns for good, my days will be more productive with shop work....which again, is not at all unpleasant to me. A person can only stand to be cooped up in the house for so long!
Happy Wednesday!

Bad luck has rained down upon me. My favorite watch has broken.....unfixable....no parts available....woe and misery!
But wait!
They still make the watch....could just order a complete new one over the internet! Joy, Joy Joy!
But wait!....what's this?....a new kind of watch?
A watch that sets itself everyday to within 1/1000 of a second, by the radio signal sent out by the National Atomic Clock? A watch that will let me smuggley correct other people's time by telling them that my watch is superior to there's?
Massive JOY! Exhilaration! Exuberation! Mastification!
New Atomic signal watch is now internet ordered and winging it's way to me, via UPS second day delivery!
Let the heavens rejoice!

As for the weather, it's sunny but freezing cold over here. DAMN the weather! I never thought my skin would still be this dry in March! I really am chomping at the bit for Spring.
