Well, the weirdness continues.
After starting yesterday off with snow ( big old wet flakes about the size of 50cent piece ) it turned over into a light rain for awhile. Then, around 9pm last night, the sky lit up with lightening and the thunder rolled. I woke up at 5:30 this morning to a good old rain....don't have the rain gauge up yet, so I can't tell how much we got. Anyway, it was just kind of a weird day.
The Canadian geese are back. The little pond out north of the house has been host to several pairs of geese each spring for the last few years. I could hear them honking down on the pond yesterday morning. They fly in each spring....using the cornfield for feeding and the pond for raising their brood. Last year I counted 13 little goslings down their at one point. It's kind of fun to watch them grow up and then eventually take off with their folks....not to return until the next spring....to raise another batch. It'll be fun until they bring me the bird flu and it kills us all....oh well....
Ordered another little doo dad for my bike yesterday. A small thermometer that mounts on the handle bars. How can you complain about how hot or cold it is, when you don't really know the temperature?....I mean, come on...really. Now when one of the guys I'm riding with says, "Jesus Christ, it must be 120 degrees today!", I can say, "Nah....it's only 98!"
I have fortunately found out, that Vaseline Intensive Lip Therapy not only works very well for dry lips, but for a sore nose too. So....if your blowing alot and your poor nose is suffering from Kleenex burn, VILT is what you need!
OK...that's enough nonsense for one day.....
