I just got back from the vet. I had to have my super sick kitty put to sleep. He had lost almost half his body weight due to developing hyper thyroid on top of his diabetes and had a large tumour on his thyroid gland. He only had the one good ear, so that type of meds were out, he couldn't do pills, and was too old and sick for surgery. I couldn't stand watching him suffer anymore. It was a really hard decision though, because I fought so hard to keep him alive when he first became diabetic. I hand fed him through a syringe for a month and have him liquids through an IV during the day. It was really hard to let go and realize it was the best thing for him. It was hurting my heart to watch him like that. I'm really going to miss him. RIP Jalepeno.
