They're my favourite too, which is pretty weird, as I'm absolutely terrified of thunder (yes, the actual sound - it scares the hell out of me).

That is the weird thing of thunder storms: intimidating and fascinating at the same time. It would be cool to go outside with the stand and camera when the lightning show begins but it is kinda dangerous. But I still do it every now and then
Too bad we don't have those huge storms in Finland like they have on the tropical zones. I'd like to see those huuuge thunder clouds throwing hundreds of lightnings per minute!

Last year I spent two months in Peru and Ecuador just traveling and photographing. I finally got a grip of myself and chose some photos and uploaded them to Flickr. The first photos are from Lima and Huanchaco so there isn't anything super special but check them out if you are interested.
