We at soundsxp.com have just started to get regular gig nights for ourselves at the Purple Turtle in Camden. On the 1st February we have a great line-up featuring Pete and the Pirates and the Victorian English Gentleman's Club!
It's tough when you're not on much of a budget though: you're basically restricted to little-known local bands. I know plenty of bands around the coast open for offers, but Derby is an awful long to go without a sizeable contribution for petrol money and appearance fees.
