I did wonderfully watching in total bewilderment with the opening ceremony for Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland. They introduced George Lucas, Billy Dee Williams and Mark Hamill. They even brought out all l the Land’s Cast Members who will be performing, including Chewbacca in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon! It was then that they were going to “start” the Falcon to signify the official opening of GE. Of course, true to it’s known character, it would not be just that easy to start her up! All at once over the PA came a very familiar voice, “She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts!” Out came Harrison Ford...nay...Han Solo himself to get the Falcon going. And he dedicated it to Peter (Mayhew), right then I just fucking lost it, 😭😭😭. Full on man cry. Even as I am typing this out, wetness is attempting to fall from my eye holes! I am having overwhelming feelings of happiness and just straight up mystified by what this apparently means for me personally. Aside from my beautiful wife and my amazing mother, I am not this emotional enough to cry. I was totally caught off guard with how emotional this has made me. I am sure that I am not alone (at least I hope not!) with this feeling of giddiness. I absolutely CANNOT wait to get there to experience it first hand!
