So last weekend I went to my friend's yearly party at his cottage. It's around 60 people all weekend, since he knows all the people with surrounding cottages and they're all friends. Anyways, it was an awesome time. Drove up Friday morning, hung out on the beach all day, then at night we started drinking and I did some shrooms again, like last year. Second time doing them, so this time I did more, and I was actually hallucinating this time. I was sure that the moon had fallen into the lake and I saw people with neon eyes staring at me from the trees. Kinda creepy but it was hilarious as well.
The next night we all dressed up as wizards and played a game where you drink cans of beer and each new one you duct tape on the top of your "staff". It was pretty hilarious since everyone was getting into it and speaking ye olde English and wearing beards and robes and stuff.
Unfortunately, when I was walking to the shed to get more beer, in my drunken state I misjudged the steps and fell, landing awkwardly on my ankle. It swelled up immediately and we had to call an ambulance for me at like 3:30 in the morning. Cost me $45 for that, $35 for crutches and then $85 for the taxi back, since the hospital was in the next town. Turns out it was just sprained.
We got back on Monday and the next day I decided to go to a conference I was supposed to go to for work, at the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo. It was all talks on the self-force problem of general relativity, won't bore you with the details, but at lunch, after I finished eating someone's nurse drove them up the table I was sitting at and started feeding him. In case you haven't guessed yet, I was sitting two feet away from this man...

That's right, Dr. Stephen Hawking! It was pretty exciting.
Anyways, at the end of the day my foot had swollen up ridiculously, and my boss had to drive me home and told me to stay here till it got better. Swelling is down now, but still hurts like hell when I walk on it (and I can't help it since my house is 80% stairs and I can't crutch down them).
Anyways, hope everyone is doing well.
Ps. They give you your x-rays on a cd now!

Hey I discovered only last week that they give x-rays on CD now by getting an x-ray on my right foot too!
