My Chemical Romance > THRICE > TheUSED
Jay picked me up from work, went back to his house + rolled a blunt. Picked up Jon then it was about a one hour drive upstate for the show. I don't think i've ever seen more road kill.
The opening band whos name i forget was already playing by the time we got inside.
>After a while My Chemical Romance came on.
They sucked. Their sound on cd is soososososososo
different then how they ACTUALLY sound. Not to mention i have beef with them anyway (i was at their first show, they played with my ladies, MORGAN STORM).
>Then Thrice
came on and completely blew me away. I saw them last year when they played with theSTART, Co+Ca , and HWM, but i saw them from backstage so i didn't really get a good idea of what to expect when viewing them from the front. Good God, if it were legal to marry a whole band they would be the one i'd choose.
>The Used came on next, but i had already left my spot in the crowd to re-hydrate and find jay. So i wondered to the back room to check out the THrice merch. and bam! guess who was there?!? DUSTIN (thrice's singer) i was bullshittin with the merch kid cos he remembered me from the jersey show. so i re-purchased Identity Crisis (their first album) and hand it to Dustin with an innocent look in my eyes and say "i don't mean to be cheesy, but can you sign this". I swear he is the sweetest guy in the world. Then we were talking for a few min which was when i professed my love of his band.
I met back up with jay + jon at the bar where i was way unimpressed with the used. they need another guitarist in the worst way. not to mention some hot showers
On our way home we got pulled over by New York State police (the worst kind) cos we were going 60 in a 40. THEN jay realized he didn't have his wallet so that means no lisence. They let us go before asking if there was anything wrong with Jon (who was sleeping on the back seat). He is so cute...that little lush.
anyways, an amazing time was had.
