theSTART ; NY, NY @ Tribeca
I really do swear this band gets better everytime i see them. I met up with stefanie infront of the place around 4. The band wasn't there. No one else was there, so we sat infront of the cigar shop and made fun of the religious books that were across the street.
About 6 (or a few min to) the van pulls up and you can see Aimee waving to us like she hadn't seen us in years, which is so so far from the truth. We unloaded everything and Jamie attempted to park the van + trailer (in nyc?!? haha they had a fun time with that).
They did a sound check, which was kinda fancy concidering all the other places they've played on this tour. The first band went on. They were from New Zealand. Pretty cool, even tho the bass player looked almost exactly like Abe Lincoln.
The next band on was Uk Uk. They were pretty alright.
Then theSTART came on. Aimee looked cuter than i've seen her this whole week (and shes always crazy sexy ) I forget what they opened with but it doesn't matter. God, when they did High Flyer i think i got weak in the knees. That song usually gets me really sad, this time she gave me goose bumps. I dunno, this is the first tour i've seen them when Aimee has been screaming her lungs out (human waste project style). Shes so amazing. So after that they did shakedown! then she says "ok this is the last time we're gonna do this for natalie" awwwwwwww.
and they played breed (nirvana).
She jumped off stage i gave her a big hug and thanked her. "Aimee, i love you" "aww i love you too, pumpkin" and she gave me a really great squeeze-a-licious hug.
i love the fact that i know her.
i love it more that we have conversations like that one almost every time we see eachother
they have new merch. so i expect everyone who lives in Philly to come to the show on saturday and buy out all the merch and leave millions of dollars in the TIPS skull.
K, i've gotta get to work.
