hi all, happy holidays!
so all I wanted for xmas was a new home! and I GOT IT!
that's right, we finally live in London - whew. It was a bit expensive, but we decided the proper choice was to be carless, use public transport and apply the car payment, gas and insurance money to the rent.
We live two blocks from Hampstead Heath , which is like London's central park, but bigger. we actually are right by the skating rink they put up there, so I've taken the girls to see the skating and eat Crepes a couple of times.
(crap photo darn bmp thing - it's half that (they call it an attached here in London))
There's a great pizza + coffee place a block away, and though we're tight on cash I had to go buy a replacement espresso machine (pays for itself in 1.5 months.

makes one of the best lattes off an automatic I've ever had. Course, might be the Illy espresso beans you can buy here that are vacuum packed for freshness.
I'm loving London and the UK. it's great here love my new house; neighborhood, everything. its all good.. the kids are in heaven and we can go to the park and have picnics regularly. We're so happy hear we're even eating in more. In LA we ate out 10 of 14 meals. We've ordered in twice since we arrived on the 18th and eaten out at a restautant twice. All other meals were at home. OH MY GOD I"M BECOMING A HOMEBODY!
My quote for the period of time it takes to update this journal:
Eccentricity is not, as dull people would have us believe, a form of madness. It is often a kind of innocent pride, and the man of genius and the aristocrat are frequently regarded as eccentrics because genius and aristocrat are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd.
- Edith Sitwell
I love that.
ok Movie update, things are plodding along slowly - it all hinges now on something called a bond, which is like an insurance policy for a movie's completion. the process is akin to getting a root canal naked onstage in front of your worst enemies, all of your teachers and authority figures and close and distant relatives. So that's not great.. I'll update when we start officially casting which should be next week.
best to all and HAPPY NEW YEAR! may 2007 be the best for all of us.
oh yeah, fixer made me do it.
