Finally summer is ending and fall is coming, I prefer winter, but fall will do, I should be happy as I love Fall with the change in weather, getting to put jackets and sweaters on and in short finally being able to wear some clothing and walk around without sweating, which I hate more than anything, except in bed. EL SUICIDO LOCO

I'm here in Bucharest, Romania till around the 19th-ish when I'll likely go to London for a few weeks to continue prep. I'll be staying near primrose hill likely, though I haven't finalized the place yet. One of the things I LOVE about my business is the complete randomness to my schedule. I'll be sitting here and suddenly a phone call will occur and blam I'm on a plane. Almost flew to Sofia, Bulgaria yesterday, but then the problem solved itself.

actually, that's a lie, it's going crappy. The bankers and gap financiers are dragging, I'm fighting with everyone, I'm horny and in a small apartment with two kids and my mother-in-law (no chance for relief there) I'm fighting with my wife all the time and to top it off I'm really really lonely. Which is very odd and I can't figure it out I mean either I'm claustrophobic because I'm surrounded by too many people in a small space or I'm lonely and alone, but here, I'm both. Frankly I'm a little worried about us right now.

Man I need a drink, for those of you who really know me that's a bad bad sign. (13 years sober and counting). I spend most of my waking hours fighting demons in my mind, heart and soul lately I feel like I'm losing, and my dreams, which used to be light and were where I recovered from the daily wars are also full of battles as well. In fact, seriously I think I've had a nightmare every night I've been here. This hotel is next to the old secret police (the Securitate as they call it) building. I suspect some BAD shit happened here during Ceausescu.



My kids, however are great, quite resilient, Isabella started school last week here in Romania, she loves it. She's so amazing that kid, she came in yesterday and told me that I worked too much and we should go to the park - seemed sensible to me so we did; best hour I've had since I got here, even went on a paddle boat and bought one of those punching balloons. I always wanted one of those as a kid and never got one.

So as I said, I'm off to London next week to try and close my financing and hire some crew and begin hard-core prepping the films. This week (Thursday-Friday) we scout. Here's some of the castle's we're thinking about shooting:




This film will be a lot of fun if I can just get this financing closed. Sorry for whining, but somehow it feels better to do it here.. someplace to vent. drop me a note if yo uwant to do anything, i've been on WOW a lot lately.

lastly, if anyone wants to do anytihng in London, let me know I'll be there alone for 3 weeks, 'cept for one of my business partners...

Romania looks beautiful! I'm sorry you're having a hard time. It doesn't matter how big the space is, when there's too much family in it you always feel claustrophobic!

That creature is going to give me nightmares tonight.

At DragonCon, I spoke to Summer briefly (very briefly - as she's quite popular, y'know) about Electric Car. Didn't tell her I knew you from SG, though smile
