ok 1st a huge announcement:
Who Killed the Electric Car? is now one of the top 50 documentaries of ALL TIME in terms of US domestic box office grosses! and it's STILL in theaters! that is just amazing to me. If you haven't gone and seen it please do, its one of the things I've done in my life of which I'm most proud of.
Now, a dispatch from Bucharest:
So here I am in Bucharest, complete with my kids & mother-in-law. If you don't know where Bucharest is it's the capital city of Romania, if you don't know where Romania is its here:
We're here on location prepping the production of our next movies (we are making five in a row here) the 1st one is a King Arthur and the Dragon thing with no name yet. Working on cast, but John Rhys-Davies is interested... maybe I'll beg Summer Glau to come as well.
I'm currently living in a pair of suites at a long-stay hotel here here's a picture.
It's pretty nice, but right next to a construction site.. good thing I'm jet-lagged and dont want to sleep in. Our financing is still being completed so I'm incredibly stressed. Also the mother-in-law doesn't help. Actually she's ok, anyone would wear on anyone's nerves in a small space in a foreign country with jet-lag.
It's really smokey here. Everything smokes. the cars smoke, the buildings smoke, the girls in their short skirts and incredibly high heals smoke... the place is a giant lung cancer waiting to happen. I seem to remember you stop noticing this week two. Also, it's summer and the women, who are all beautiful here (sorry girls most of the men are trolls) are wearing even less clothing and are even more flirtatious. it is HARD to focus here. Also I seem to have "Rich Foreigner" written on my forehead which has lead to more than a few indecent proposals.
Another observation: This country, for 5000 years was alternately invaded by the Turks and the Huns. Each successive army killed all but the most frightening and tough men and all but the most beautiful women.. thus you have an entire country of gorgeous women and ugly men. Strange but lucky for me.
One thing I've found interesting.. the food here seems to not be as good as a year ago. Might be an august thing, Europe all seems to go on vacation for the month of August - come to think of it, that seems quite civilized. But other than Italian food I've not had a good meal here yet.
I'll be in London next week maybe, if we close the financing, but this week I'm just trying to wrap up a few odds and ends. Drop me a message here, they help cheer me up and help with the culture shock.
ciao
wait Had to put this up, its TOO FUNNY

Good luck with the visa! And the move... do you know where you're moving to in London?
P.s I did accept you friends request... not sure why it hasn't worked.
I think you'll be in for a shock after all the cheapness in Romania though.
