Death Race -
Let's see, how does one review a bad movie? I guess I could start by saying that the film was bad and not just bad but unworldly bad. The story in it self was overly predictable and the characters were unlikable (even though they were for the most part prison convicts). Jason Stathem acting was pretty much status quo in that "I'm a wooden action star with an accent." Where as the most likable character (and I use that term lightly) Ian McShane who played Coach was the most well rounded actor in the film.
Then there were the navigators who were these "hot" female prisoners whose only role seemed to be to look sexy in tight clothes that a prisoner would never wear and look like a prisoner would never look.
The only believable part of the movie was the 5 second opening where in the title screen they mentioned the collapse of the economy in 2012 which may or may not happen, but it's always difficult when movies give a time line. Either it'll happen or it won't and we'll all know here in 4 years time.
The rest of the cast wasn't really worth noting seeing as they're performance was substandard and left me thinking why would anyone want to waste their time or money on this mediocre, barely entertaining film.
I must say that it was a fast paced movie but wasn't fast enough, I keep wondering to my self when will it end? When it did end it just left a bad taste in my mouth so to speak one I hope I won't have to suffer through again for a while or at least until the next terrible movie.
In conclusion this is a film I would not buy or recommend to anyone seeing, it was just that bad.
