YIPPEE SKIPPY IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Bonus points to the first person who was in the Twin Cities during the '80's that can give me the point of reference for that phrase)
Looks like the Project from Hell is now behind me, I was able to give deliverables by 5:30 yesterday, and they were sufficient. Yessssss....
Got a call from my sister in Texas last night. She had to put her cat to sleep. Made me sad. When I lived with her, he & I had a comical relationship. When she was around, he would hiss at me, and I'd tease him. But, every day, the moment she left in the morning, he would bound into my room purring, and we'd have scratch & pet time. And, he would always curl up in my lap when I was home in the afternoons. The moment Sis came through the door, though, he'd shoot off my lap & go hide. RIP, Corky.
Observations from my journey to work today:
What is the significance of a pair of shoes slung over a telephone/power line? I asked my roommate once, and he said "It's a trailer park thing". Saw it today, and was indeed near a trailer park.
Saw a refreshing juxtaposition of socio-political bumperstickers. The GLBT Rainbow, a Pink Triangle, and a "Criminals Prefer Unarmed Victims" sticker. Now, before anyone rails me for stereotyping, all I'm saying is that you just usually don't see those things together & it made me smile.
Dogsitting this weekend. Roomie's daughter is bringing her dachsund. He's nice & cracks me up.
BHL is out of town, Roomie's got the daughter, the Runk is free! Ah, what to do, what to do...
Right now I'm going to get a Diet Coke and a Bagel. Have a most excellent day!
