A gray, Londonish day here in the Twin Cities. Several days of very pleasant (upper 40's) temperatures have laid waste to the snow covered expanses, leaving mainly the hideous brown snow-sand-and-ice mini mountain ranges on the curbs, edges of parking lots, ditches, and driveways. This is not the pretty part of spring!
Plus, you know we're going to get another week's worth of snow before it's all over.
I really don't mind the grayness. It gives me kind of a cozy feeling inside.
Can't wait until tomorrow afternoon when I head up to Duluth. Duluth and the Lake Superior region is my favorite place in the world. (For those of you from other parts of the world who have not been there, click here to see how beautiful it is).
I believe the Native Americans were onto something when they believed in the spiritual supremacy of that lake. I never feel quite as balanced, quite as at peace, as when I can be up there and breathe in that fresh, cold lake air.
And, making it all even better, this will be the first time in over a year the BHL & I have gone out of town together.
How fitting!
Have a great week, everyone!
