SUCK IT, COMCAST!
Consumer advisory: do not go with home telephone service from Comcast. They're great for high speed internet, fine for cable, but I suspect A.G. Bell's original contraption was less fraught with glitches than Comcast.
Last Sunday was my last straw with them. Melting snow off the roof shorted out their little junction box, which left me without a phone. Comcast's solution for fixing it is running a coax cable from the street box ACROSS THE FRIGGEN SNOW-COVERED LAWN, and up the side of the duplex. Highly attractive, and safe I imagine.
So, went out today & got me a nice new wireless phone. I don't need home phone service. If my roomie wants it, he can get it for himself.
Last night was good, went out with the BHL. She has a conference in Duluth this week, and she wants me to come with! She hasn't asked me to go anywhere out of town with her for at least a year! So, we're heading up north Tuesday night & coming back Wednesday evening. I love Duluth, so this hopefully will be the recharge I've been looking for.
Well, I have to go drink some Summit now. Have a lurvely Saturday night & Sunday.
