Roomie's girlfriend just came upstairs with something absolutely joyful, and it has made everything wonderful in my world.

3 dozen, hand made, home made, tamales. I'm eatin good in the neighborhood.

Still sick. But, back to the regularly scheduled prattle & questions-o-the-day:

The best thing about being sick is the sick-buzz...the combination of OTC medication and your fever-addled brain...

Is it better to be a bore, or an asshole?

Sometimes, when you're firing on all cylinders, one can do both.
neodrunk:
It's all situational my friend. Dependent upon the crowds you run with, and folk you work with. Me, I'm an asshole more often then not. I can't stand sitting still, and I'm predominantly an asshole to those who do remain idle. Being an asshole in my life gives me character, but in many others positions being more on the dl makes things work for them.

That's my worthless two cents...

tonguemiao!!
soniclu667:
im leaning towards asshole. at least you leave mark in everyone's mind. no one remembers a bore, but an asshole's legacy will live on.

I HATE HAM!

When you think about it, the reason we probably eat ham on Easter is to thumb our nose at the Jews, which is downright deplorable. I've never liked ham all that much, and thinking about that pisses me off.

Oh- don't leave a pot of hazelnut coffee sitting around all day. While is smells delightful whilst brewing, at the end of the...

1. household task that is most hated--most things cleaning, but specifically i hate doing the dishes, and taking out the trash.

2. different jobs? umm not sure...lets just say 2 meaningful ones.

3. ancestoral--50% polish (third generation american here.), the other half is irish, english, scottish, french, and umm indian.

4. how would someone describe my personality? if they know me well probably sarcastic and cynical, if they don't know me too well they'd probably say i was quiet. oh and people tend to say i'm intimidating.
soniclu667:
yeah, me and my sis are identical twins, but not personality wise. and yeah, the ex is nuts...

A brief interlude among doing things, so a quick update & question.

Good weekend in the sense that it hasn't been the routine.

So, it is widely accepted that every culture has had some form of erotica & pornography. What do you suppose Amish Erotica is like?

Saddest date ever: BHL & I are going to get together tonight and do our taxes together. Oh, there will be wine and laughs, but this goes to show where the excitement has gone, doesn't it??

With that, the newly instituted questions of the day:

1. Have you ever made a truly good friend who was not from school, work, a social organization you belong...

Crikey, late to work on account of I got taken in by the classic 1986 motion picture "Gung Ho". For some reason, I just love that movie and if I notice it's on, I'm like a moth to a light.

I will spare you of any further mundane details of my life as a worker drone.

Instead, when I really don't have anything interesting to...

Leading our news for today: we're off to a fine start for Wednesday. Had a major presentation to give first thing this morning...audience included my Director, and an influential Senior Director. I rocked! It went quite well. They even said that they wanted to share parts of my presentation with one of the Senior VP's. This is all very good for The Runk.

Sometimes, when spelunking through the bowels of the internet, one finds a treasure so glorious that its joy and mirth must be shared, rather than kept for one's own amusement.

Thusly, I give to you all the downloadable archive of all the "Celebrity Jeopardy" skits from Saturday Night Live with Will Farrell!

Suck it, Trebek!

I try to live life without subscribing to many cliches. I, for the most part, strike my own path and think for myself.

One thing though...I hate Mondays. Yes, I know Garfield has been kvetching about it for 25 years, and even Bob Geldof & the Boomtown Rats were able to sing about "I Don't Like Mondays", but to quote "Office Space": "Looks like somebody...
