Even though I have been a writer for a long time this is my first ever blog, so I've just popped my blogging cherry, yay.
Anyways there should be more to come as in the next few days I'll begin writing music for these 30 sets of lyrics I wrote a couple of weeks ago. Lets just say I was inspired... pain is always a good motivator especially it seems for writing gothic doomy lyrics, from feedback received so far they make previous works like Nocturnal Winds (once described by someone as "the most depressing thing they had ever read") seem like a poem about a happy picnic on a sunny day.
The new band is currently going under the name of September Fires, and uses members of Wolfmoon (my old band, now on hold) and of a power metal called Rugosa, I should know in the next day if we have a drummer, though if not the old Wolfmoon drummer wants in even though we are playing music that's definitely not his cup of tea. Musically it's going to be a mixture of old school gothic doom bands namely the big 3, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost and Anathema, with being from Yorkshire this will probably not be much of a shock, but it also mixes in elements of the new more doom and roll style bands like Lacrimas Profundere, Entwine, Charon etc. So don't expect songs about fluffy kittens or puppies anytime soon.
