Live from a real bar. I finally found a bar I like. Which is a miracle in its self. But my real topic is how are bars a place to meet new people. Most of the people here are coming with groups to hang out with. None of them are coming to meet new people. So why are this places recommended as place to meet new people. There is no intermingling. Everyone is sticking to their own groups. That is not a way to meet new people. Drunken observation here I'm saying people a lot. Maybe other people's experiences are different, I don't know. Maybe someone can tell me I'm doing something wrong. I don't know. Anyway hope everyone reading this is doing fine. Cheers

No this is very accurate actually bars are usually not the way to go, at least not for me.

I think if you are a naturally social, extroverted type person -- able to meet people easily elsewhere -- then I think yes, they are. But if you are not very social (like me), they're just another place to find yourself alone. In other words, it's less about the place, and more about the person.
