My coworkers are not what I would call good people. Homophobic, sexist, racist, the whole nine yards. This often leads to some of the dumbest and rage inducing conversations I get the joy of overhearing. The one I want to focus on today is their homophobia and the conclusion that I took away from it. The conclusion, they believe gay people are like vampires. I got this from one very specific phrase I overheard. The phrase "Oh that guy, he turned several people I know gay." What!! You seem to act like being gay is spread around like a vampire curse. That you have a original gay person that goes around infecting other people into being gay. I know Ive heard of people being like this but hearing it straight from a persons mouth is just jaw dropping to me. I think I almost had an anurism trying to comprehend the fact that I actually heard that come from someone with conviction. Stupid hurts and that was one of the most painful things I've ever heard. I really hate people sometimes.
