Rendering is fun fun fun fun, fun fun fun fun, fun fun fun fun, bullshit.
Nothing more interesting than watching a computer render and do nothing else literally.
Yeah, that profile pic is one of the thousand pics that I rendered out today. Not textured, but meh, what you going to do? The class is called "Computer Animation II," not "Texturing." The animation is more important.
In case you are wonder, the story is Death going on a blind date. It is a short film, and the version I am doing Computer Animation II is only about 1200 frames (I got about 700, with 300 of those animated today, done and it is due next Friday, so I am good). The full version which I will have all done and textured by April will be about 2100 frames (a little over a minute long). And that will textured and scored (sound was already picked out for the animac, it just needs to be edited).
You know...looking at this, I am thinking I could do different versions of that profile pic. Put up a new person's name, and some catchy line under it to describe the person. Like "John Travolta. Stayin' alive? Not for long..." or something like that. I don't know. I am just really bored right now. Shows what happens when I am bored, I start thinking. Dangerous thing this thinking maybe. Though I wish it would help out make my conversations last more than 5 lines then I run out of things to say!!!
Well anyways, in my computer animation II class today, it was a work day, which means we sit on our asses working on our project or watch whatever the teacher brings in. Today, we saw Brotherhood of the Wolf. First time seeing it. Pretty good I must say. Kinda reminds me of a video game with all the flashy fight scenes and slow mo parts....plus blood....lots of blood. Blood is good. Dubbing was awkward though.
Only one more class to go this week, work on the project for next week, and BAM! Done with school for break. Thanks to the fact the project was due next Friday, it gives me one more week of being occupied...WHICH MEANS ONE WEEK LESS OF ME DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND BEING BORED OUT OF MY MIND!!!
In other news, still not sure about SG Burlesque tour. I got an offer for a place to stay for the night from madamex, but knowing how well we are actually meeting up (1 for about 8), somehow I have the feeling that if I did go, I will be stuck in the streets of the city all night. So I am not sure if I am fully willing to take that chance.
Until next time everyone. The both of ya.
Damn, almost forgot my shameless plug for a friend. If you are in the Chicago area and are into metal, you might want to check out Friendly's Tavern this Saturday at 7. They are doing a show with about 6 bands, one of them being my fellow animator's band called Nightbreed. I can't make due to fact I am working, but if you want show love for a Chicago student animator and go to the show if you can check it out! If interested, I can give you the address of the place via IM.
