Well, no Boston trip. Dag.
But I don't know how much time off I have from work, so it probably is a good thing I can't go.
I am sure I can try to figure out to do something for a break from work...well...maybe one that doesn't involve elves.
On a more exicitable note, Jaws is playing this Thursday at my local movie theater. I didn't see it in theaters because I didn't exist at that moment, so needless to say I am not missing the oppurtunity to see it on the big screen. I love Movie Madness night. Well, I missed out three shows, but two of them were movies I really didn't care to see (Gladiator and Pretty in Pink) and my great aunt's wake was the night of Dark Crystal (sadly one of the main ones I wanted to see). But Usual Suspects last week got me in the mood and now I can't wait for Jaws this week, Superman next week, and closes out with Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Though on some commentary, the did drop the bomb with two movies. Beverly Hills Cop was not shown off film but DVD. Maybe the film was fucked up or looked like it was going to be (they had that happen before with T2 and Ghostbusters in the previous years). The other was E.T. I forgot they did an anniversary edition with new scenes with a CG alien and badly edited walkie talkies where handguns were being held in. Disappointed the hell out of me. It was a good movie begin with, why fuck it up with that shit that doesn't look like it even fits in the damn thing.
Oh well, just some minor annoyances to a good year showing. I hope they show an Evil Dead movie next year. They were extremely crowded for Army of Darkness when they showed about 4 years ago, so I don't know why seem to ignore that message.
