I haven't been on in a while, but I'm back and starting fresh. Completely. I deleted most of what I had from the first time I was on SG. A lot has happened in the off-line world so new skin for the on-line world is fitting. Kind of like outgrowing my old shell and finding a new one, I guess.
In other news, I'm so excited! I'm going to be getting my tattoo in a couple of weeks. I've learned a lot about working with the artist to come up with the design. I have a few friends who are into tattoo art and who are artists so I went with one of them who is just starting out. Figured I'd give him some experience and business. When choosing a design, what is in your mind needs to be communicated with the artist pronto. Don't wait because each artist has their own style. Duh. So obvious. But I neglected to clarify what I wanted and in the mean time my friend came up with some drawings that were way bigger than the pictures I showed him and not in the style I had in mind. I resent some pictures and he got what I was trying to do. I still feel bad for turning down his drawing, but this is permanent so it needs to be something I'll be comfortable with long after the session with my friend.
Also got a new piercing and thinking of getting another, but it'll have to wait a while.

Welcome back. I'm also a sporadic SG member myself. I love it here, but at the same time the outside world often ends up sapping my time and before I know it, months (or more) have gone by.
