Let me begin by saying I hated woodshop in Jr. High. Somehow I always ended up with warped wood and a bad finish. On everything.
Tonight, at 8PM, however, I decided I needed a rack for the painting supports that are slowly taking over my room.
What did I have? Some cheap 1"x2" fur strips, a mitre box, a tape measure and a hammer (and nails). And some wood glue.
By 1AM, I had this:
A 6-slot support rack, custom built to hang over my dirty laundry.
I'm not trying to be cocky about it... I know there are problems with it and I'm sure a novice cabinet maker could whip one out in a quarter the time with much better results.
But this is a step for me, so I'm happy and this is my outlet. You are now my pride receptacle.
I feel so crafty. And it may actually work.
Now I must sleep. Tomorrow I'll finish it so there aren't paint drips on all of my clothes.
