Whew! ::points at journal entry below:: Who the hell was that? I don't know her. She just got in the car! LMAO!!!!
Anywho, anyone up for some Leftover Crack? that's right, folkies, they will be playing with the Subhumans this saturday in baltimore. If anyone is interested in going, just let me know. I'll have more details tommarrow.....
"Art alone can turn those thoughts of disgust at the horror or absurdity of existence into imaginary constructs which permit living to continue. These constructs are the SUBLIME as the artistic mastering of the horrible and the comic as the artistic release from disgust at the absurd."
--Friedrich Nietzsche, the Birth of Tragedy, 1871....
..ALSO found on the inside cover of the INCREDIBLE CD that I bought today. Look at the love we found: A tribute to Sublime. As an avid Sublime fan, this TOTALLY completes the collection. All of the artists on this album amazingly master the tracks they cover with such energy and livliness. In fact, and even though I've been thoroughly pissed at Gwen Stefani for her career suicide attempt, No Doubt's Live version of "DJ's" couldn't have sounded better by any other artist. Also, Camper Van Beethoven's cover of "Garden Grove" is amazing. I also have to give credit to Avail for making me fall in love with "Santeria" again. I highly recommend this cd!!!

I bought the Kings Of Leon debut CD when it first came out a few years ago. I think I saw an article about them in some music magazine talking about how they were going to be one of many groups that were going to save rock and roll. I don't know if I would go that far but it's definitely a good cd. Still haven't had a chance to check out their latest one yet. I have a hard time whenever I go buy cd's, my mind goes blank and I usually forget what cd I was planning on buying.
