Untill the wee hours of this morning, I was so happy, I could have soiled myself. Yes that's right, I was able to walk for the last three days WITHOUT the crutches! However, I woke up today with a knee the size of a canteloupe, and it was miserably sore. Good thing the MRI is scheduled for tommarrow, though I hope this is nothing serious.
A very cute young man that I've had my sights set on for a bit came and visited me at work today. I blushed...A LOT. I am hoping, wishing and praying for a real date on sunday. Golly gee wilikers, I'd be the happiest gal alive If it came true!
Two nights ago, I caroused the streets of Fell's Point (bar dist. in Baltimore) with a really good friend, Ray, my Blues conniseur, if you will. It was awesome, though we couldn't find what we were lookin for, and that was live blues. We did, however, end up eating some fantastic sushi at this bar called John Steven's. If you are in the area anytime soon, check the joint out.
Anyway, Ray's got me listenin' to all kinds of goodies at the Mo. Checkin' out the fabulous Johnny Winter and Wild Child Butler tonight. Can't wait for Ray to start sending me mixed Cd's. He actually runs a PR biz and had asked me last week to help him put together press kits for Tom Hunter, a blues artist from TX. We'd like to get him up here in MD for some shows. I really think it's time to get the "kids" into some GREAT music. Hell, I could use some schoolin' myself. Always have been a Muddy Waters fan, as well as that of, OF COURSE BB King, and Stevie ray Vaughn and Marcia Ball. Dad even had me listenin' to Dr. John, amongst others I'm sure, when I was a kid. A couple good ones to check out if you guys haven't already would DEFINATELY be The Siegl Schwall Band's "Slow Blues in A" or anything by The Black Keys. Oh! And I was informed today by a co worker that one should ALSO check out a colaboration that Johnny Lee Hooker made with the band Canned Heat (funk) back in the either late 60's/early 70's. Supposed to be geeereat! Also, The Rolling Stones CD Emotional Rescue is a good buy as well. I'd give more thorough reviews, but, I need to go and Ice the knee.
On an artistic note, getting a 3/4 Sleeve started on my right arm this friday (two days from today) and totally stoked about it. Nothing like the feeling of fresh ink!!! OH! Happy June, everyone!!!!
