"Staple it together and call it bad weather, mm hmm..."
--Jack Johnson
No, no, things are going great, I'm just furthering my enjoyment of this fantastically beautiful day by downing some Corona and chilaxin' to some Jack Johnson. Oh, You had better believe i'm doning my flip flops, shorts and a white tee shirt. Man oh man how I am a warm weather child. Sometimes, if I'm not careful, the inner beach bum tries to make it's way out. And, on that note, I think I will be doing some blonde in the hair, in the name of warmer weather. Hehe, well, wait, NVGoddess, I won't be doing it, as we discused, a professional will be doing it 'oD
On the music front, bought the Louis XIV cd. What a dissapointment! I was all geared up for some great rock and roll, and instead I got the closest thing to a T Rex cover band, minus the original T Rex lyrics, and insert more perversion. Don't get me wrong, the strong sexual, or well even blatant sexual, overtones are amusing, but there NEEDS to be some outstanding talent behind it. As my new friend just_some_guy stated to me in a post, it was very flat and dull. He suggested he give it a few more listens. I thought the same at first. Nope. The music just did not move me. Oh, and then at the end of the CD, the tempo completely shifts to a down and out kinda mood, and one is left thinking, where the hell did THAT come from? I suppose I did not do this band any justice as I had also purchased the re-issue of the Rolling Stones classic, "Made in the Shade". What a fantastic album. Right around the time a most recent ex and I ended things, he had bought the actual album. I regret not hearing that on vinyl, really.
So, the weekend was slooowww. A close friend had a shot gun wedding at the 'ol Justice of the peace on friday. Hehe, she even made her own cake and had a BBQ for the reception. I say, If you are going to go white trash, do it Vegas style, baby! Ah, well, gotta wish 'em the best. Hopefully it will last.
