I got's me some big ol bawls! Lawdy, they big!...
...So, any other day, and I may have just giggled. However, this happened on not only Mother's day, a day of pink and white and hearts and mushy gross shit, that is IF you like your mother. But nevertheless, it was mother's day. Oh, and I was coming off of my sixth day of work WITH NO FUGGIN BREAK. So, when these three 'frat types' flew into the gas station in their black, tinted window'd nissan maxima from Ohio, I knew something was going to be awkward. As I am approaching my car, delirious from an extensive work week without relief in sight, as I'd be charging home not to sleep, no no, but only to entertain granny and mom, I am mostly just trying to balance my green tea and pringles in the one hand and unlocking the car with the other. When the Blondest of the blondes casualy, cooly asked the wind what was up, I thought perhaps he was on some kind of acid trip, speaking to the knomes that perhaps he was watching take a piss in the parking lot? Well, when he looked over at me, as I am fiddling, awkwardly with the lock, only to repeat his 'what's up' I am caught, to say the least, a little off guard. I am nice, so I replied with a cool, casual 'Hey' myself. He looked over at his one freind who remained outside, as if my being cordial was the 'OK' he needed to ask me the atrcoiously inappropriate question he was about to pop. Without hesitation, he looked at me as said 'So, you wanna be in our sex video?' WTF!?@?$>?!@?>$ Are you kidding me? (BTW, side note, I have been having A SHIT LOAD of 'are you kidding me' moments lately). So, quickly, I replied in a sharp, sassy, I-got-bigger-girl-balls-than-you kinda way, 'Well, actually, I have got a RAGING YEAST INFECTION at the moment, so I don't think I'd be your best candidate.' Needless to say, they turned green, I finally got my lock open, and yes, they stared at me the whole way out of the parking lot. They were probably high.....
....Here's my conundrum- I NEED to, yes, NEED to find out who the female vocalist was who did a rendition of the reggae/ska hit "Bam Bam". I know that Toots and the Maytals did a version, hell they may have even wrote it. However, I can only take Toots and his maytals in small amounts, in that their music is a bit TOO whimsical. I liked the female version 'cause it is really mellow, smoothe, and she just has a cool voice.
Also, on the musical tip, Hellcat records has recently signed two new bands, namely Time Again and The Aggrolites- both coming to the DC/B'more area in June. I highly suggest catching Time Again at Fletcher's in B'more on June first, and The Aggrolites at Nation on June the 7th, if you can. I am DESTINED to be there. I suggest checking them out on Myspace. AND for the record, I DO like myspace, a lot, in that it is truly helping in my search for new and great music. If any of you want to private message me any time soon about some good blues/rock/punk/ska/and or reggae.
This is finals week, and boy am I smotherd in guilt- for not getting on top of a paper in enough time- and preassure, for said paper, mostly. I have this group project thing to do too- as all of you college vets roll your eyes as the thought of a 'group prject' makes you cringe, and trust me, the expirience has been just as bad as you remember. heh, and I thought I was a procrastinator, boy have I met my match!
Anyway, things are going real well with the boy, he's ever so sweet to me. He's a really good guy, and hopefully we can get him on this site, and SOON!
Hugs and Thugs, bitches!
