O.K. I am soooo busy right now as I have less than one month now to design and make all my stock for Skin 2, completely revamp my website, organize a photo shoot, and design and print flyers. And I am doing all of this on my own. Oh. My. God. Its already got to that point where I feel guilty if I am doing anything other than working. This is why I am typing this as I simultaneously eat my lunch so as to feel less guilty. I apologize in advance for neglecting everyone and never commenting in journals.
Anyways... Burning Man....
Burning Man was...... in all honesty like the best thing I have ever ever done. It was fabulous. It was magnificent. It contained all the ingredients for a truly wonderful week. After staying in Texas for 3 weeks (not to offend any Texans here) I was in dire need of being reminded of the fact that beauty does indeed exist. That humanity can be celebrated. That there are reasons to be proud of being a human being on planet earth.
Before I continue: a photo:
Everyone used to really piss me off before I went to Burning Man by saying 'Oh you just can't describe it, youy just ahve to go there'. But its true. I'll tell you one thing. It is immense! 50,000 people. Just the playa, the big circle in the middle stretches out about a mile from one end to the other. That just the centre. It is literally an entire city that is built for one week. As a Burning Man virgin, I got there, got out the car and literally had half a dozen people come up and smile and hug me and say 'welcome home' to me.
A tradition at Burning Man is 'gifting' - giving small presents to people. So you might be cycling along in the heat one afternoon and someone will just stop you and give you a snow cone. It is awesome!
Anyways... more photos:
This is my friend Silver Lucy, who is one of the coolest people in the universe. It was all thanks to her that I was able to go there. She rocks!!!!
The pasties went down a treat there.
......
And still to come for a later journal entry:
*Hanging out with the porn palace crew
*Getting tied up Japanese rope bondage style
*Hooking up with a certain some one...sigh... *love sick sniffels*.....
*Handing out whiskey shots on our camp's the moonshine saloon art car
*Learning the art of hula hooping and bringing a gifted hula hoop all the way from the desert across the pond to good old KT2
*Meeting God
