ok people heres some back ground into my life . iwas born in canarsie brooklyn wihich is a brough of manhatten . i am part sicilian and irish i grew up in a mixed neighbor hood but the italians stood out like they were the majority. i grew up in the 70s and 80s in the heat of the disco craze i really did not fitin with my long hair and not too hot clothes. so i hung out with my pack of friends and listened to punk rock, alot of 60s music early garage bands, and i had some friend who liked metal. when i hit college it all changed for me there were people that liked the music that i liked . thats where i met peter steele of carnovore then type o negitive . he had his click and say hello to me at lamours when i would go and in school. thats where i discovered thrash metal and early black metal. venom, slayer, celtic frost, early metalica, any thing heavy and that i could thrash my head too i listened. as i got older and was kicked out of college due to my grades . i was working i met up with my friend john who was working at record label hawker which was a division of metal blade/ important records. i told me about the club cbgbs he was a promoter at the time heavly into straight edge bands like token entry was one of his bands . i personaly was not a big fan of straight edge i love my beer too much at that time and could not sacrifice a good dos xxs or a budwiser . but i went to the shows and showed support. i kind of went twords the skin heads bands. anostic front, murphy's law, cro-mags even though they were a krishner band i still enjoyed the music . my favorite album of theres was age of quarlle " ok i cant spell so what" thats a great album. i also heard of a band named biohazard first time i saw them they were cool had the crowd hopping. the next time i saw them they had one of my friend playing with them danny shuler from my neighbor hood canarsie it was great his brothers were there and we all had beers after the show we hung outside cbgb and i met the rest of bio hazard it was fun. its too bad cbgb had to close its doors it really was a good club to go to. you were able to see 4 to 5 bands play for 5 dollars ok the beers were steep at 4 dollars. but these were real new york hard core bands not crappy nobodys. ok heres the run down of bands i have seen anostic front, cro mags, biohazard, sick of it all, token entry, slapshot, sheer terror, dri, lee way, i also met billy milano at lamours in brooklyn at a suicidal tandencies show they blew chunks . but the band that opened for them blew them awaywarzone may raybies rest in peace. the majority of these band all come from the lower east side of manhatten delancey sreet and dkalb life was preety tough for people over there drugs and crime. most of the bands and members were squatters and lived in abandoned buildings in new york. heres my link to my space many of the band i talked about are there http://www.myspace.com/evilempirerevolution ps i must of saw the ramones a 100 times shock hands with them and met them in and around manhatten.
