I have the day off today and I'm hoping to get caught up on my reading. Before I start that I just wanted to write a real blog, last time I wrote it was a work day and I barely have time on those days. Wed. through Sat. I work 11 hour days so all I do when I get home is take care of the animals and go to bed. Ahhh....the life I lead. Animals at work and animals at home....it's pretty awesome.
I was just telling Rigel about this pug rescue website and it makes me wish I had my house right now!! I can't wait until I can apply to get one! Poor little guys!! My lease is up here in August so hopfully that month I will be becoming a home owner! I've been looking and I'm shocked to say that there are tons of homes that I can actually afford. Renting seems like a waste of money now that I know I love Portland. I love my job and plan on staying there a while so I should put in some roots here. Besides, studio life is taking its toll on Jorge, Joey, and Elvis. Elvis wants a yard, and Jorge wants some privacy, and Joey wishes Jorge would leave her the hell alone.
Jorge is taking an herbal supplement to help with his anxiety and stress levels. So far, it seems to be working. I think a bigger place with a yard would do wonders.
Obama becomes our president today! Wow this is soooo exciting! I feel some hope for the first time....well pretty much since I could vote. Honestly it took a lot for me to start voting in the first place and then the last time I almost gave it up.
I've decided to stay single a while longer. I just find it impossible to hold out for one guy. He's far away and that used to do it for me when I was 19 but I want someone who is here. I can't fricken wait for spring!! I have cabin fever so bad right now all i want is the sunshine and to be able to walk around and not freeze. Even if you're broke it's easier to be happy and find things to do when it's nice out.
Okay, well that's all for now...the new set is really the only thing going on right now.
