I've had a terrible week. It's been so bad that I've hardly been on here at all. I slipped and fell last Sunday, fracturing my elbow and spraining my shoulder. I won't go into the tragedy that occurred that caused me to hurt myself, and instead focus on some older @bloghomework assigned by @missy @rambo and @lyxzen.
What made you feel good this week?
Prior to eating shit and severely injuring myself, I had made a wreath for @hixon that was inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. It made her happy, which made me feel great. I carved the skull to look like ones at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday (Nightmare Before Christmas takes over the Haunted Mansion, if you haven't seen it I suggest you go) and did the rest from what I thought would work.
I made a wreath for myself as well, but it was a struggle since my arm was already fucked up. Here are pictures of the finished wreaths:
I'm thinking about making more and selling them on Etsy or something because a lot of my friends and family want one now.
Hixon and I were crafty bitches last weekend, painting pumpkins, making wreaths, and watching Hocus Pocus to get us in the Halloween mood.
It was fun-tastic.
One more thing that made me feel good this week was spending time with Hixon. Both of us were injured physically and emotionally last weekend which caused our week to be pretty sucky. Pain meds weren't working, and we were both having a shitty time. On Thursday I drove (carefully with one arm) to her house and we ordered some edibles, and I'm pretty sure it was the best decision ever. It helped our pain, and gave us a wicked case of the giggles. It turned out to be a fantastic night, and her Seahawks won.
I'm off to try and do actual homework now. I felt bad since I've been ignoring you guys while I've been recovering so I wanted to try and post something to let y'all know I'm still here. Any tips for dealing with a fractured elbow?
xoxo
