The weekend was pretty good...
Saturday:
Boy had to go to a funeral. He didn't know the guy at all but unfortunately the guy never had a funeral service and so boy and some friends got together and held a service for him. After that the boy picked me up and we ate at our favorite little dive, Rae's. They have the best coffee!
We got home and put the baby car seat into the car (boy did all the work!) And spent the rest of the night laying in bed in front of the fan attempting to stay cool.
Sunday:
We went to the 8am church service. During the service I starting having false labor contractions. Boy walked me to the bathroom, I got some water and we went to the airconditioned shop and talked to the Reverend's wife for the rest of the service. My contractions stopped and we went home. We then changed and went to the Valley for brunch with the boy's brothers. I was utterly starving when we finally got our table. From the valley we went to my friend Sally's house. She lives right around the corner from Fred 62s. We actually beat her to her own house. So we waited there until she got home and she said that she went to Sunset Junction yesterday and it was super crowded and hotter than hell. So we decided against going there and instead went to the theature and saw 40 year-old virgin. It was pretty good. I can see why people love this movie and had I been in a better mood and less tired I may have liked it more. I guess some movies you just have to be in the mood for. After the movie we went and had dinner at Palermos. I love their pizzarosa! We all talked about childhood stories and swapped near death experiences. Then we walked back to Sally's house. Sally and I are really good friends and we hardly see eachother...like the last time I saw her was at my baby shower which was on aug 13. The time before that was my wedding 2 years ago. But it's funny because when we see eachother it's like we don't even skip a beat. That is a good friend in my mind.
