I went to the DMV today to get my salvage certificate for my rollerskate of a car. I get there and the lady at the DMV asks for some information from the accident. I don't have a fucking clue where any of that paperwork is. She is supposed to have info on it in her computer but doesn't for some reason. So I call AAA and find out why the DMV doesn't know about my accident. The AAA lady can't find it in her computer either. She looks and finally says she will continue looking and will call me back if she can or can't find it. I told the DMV lady that and she told me that if she finds it to come back with the info. I asked her what happens if AAA can't find the info...
"Then the accident never happened. If nobody has record of it..there isn't much anyone can do."
**My record is still flawless!!!**

I just found out that my insurance only went up a tiny bit (and only because I moved to Long Beach since the last time I renewed my insurance), even though I had a pretty nasty accident last fall. It appears that the California definition that applies to the "good driver" discount includes no more than 1 accident not involving any injuries within the last 3 years. I guess they figure if nobody was hurt it couldn't have been that bad an accident. I think they'd reconsider if they saw what I walked away from.
The girl scout outfit, all the way. Sure it's a little creepy, but still...omg.
