Couldn't sleep last night. I'm anxious to be in Sacto. My grandma has had 2 strokes in the last 2 days. I would like to think that she has lots of time but you just never know. All I can do is prepare for the worse and hope for the best. She was admitted to the ER yesterday about 4pm..She was still there when I called the hospital at about 9pm. I am hoping this isn't a case of malpractice. She has been in and out of the hospital for various reasons. A doctor gave her some medication for her high blood pressure and she took it up until she went in the hospital again for some surgury. Then another doctor told her to stop taking the medication because it might interact with something else she was given. Then she had the stroke. Her blood pressure was through the roof. She still needed something to help her out since she is too weak to exercize everyday. Changing her diet isn't enough. After the first stroke the doctor gave her several prescriptions. She had them filled right away and took them. But again another stroke came the next day. I am hoping a lot of things right now...one is that if she does pass on soon..I am hoping its painless. I am hoping that if she has another stroke..it won't damage her muscles. It would be very difficult for her to deal with being handicapped. She is a very stubburn lady. If those things did happen it's good to know that she has family members she can rely on to help her out. I am also hoping that my great grandma is alright. Seeing her daughter in and out of the hospital doing surgery after surgery is very hard on her. I know she fears out living her daughter. I am glad that this no doubt concert has happened now. I can spend some time up north before and after the concert. Just knowing that I will be around for a little while is comforting.
