For those of you who are anxiously awaiting a kitty update, here goes.
I brought Arwen home from the vet yesterday morning. She has this huge cast on her entire leg, from hip and covering toes, and so she can't really walk at all. When we first got home she was extremely frustrated and kept trying to walk but couldn't, and she was flopping over and dragging herself around and crying a lot... it was HORRIBLE. She eventually tired herself out and went to sleep. She's been much calmer ever since. She still cries some, and you can tell she's not herself, but I think she's surrendered to the fact that she just has to rest a lot.
I woke up to her cries this morning and found she had drug herself from the little box/den thingy I made over to the side of the bed. So I gently lifted her into bed, put her on the side of me next to the wall, and cuddled her. She curled up next to me, wrapped her sweet little paws around my arm, and purred herself to sleep. We slept like that for awhile.
So she's doing well, the cast comes off in ten days. I can't wait for that day. She's very needy right now, for some reason she just wants me close to her every second. I also woke up at 4am to her crying from her box, so I got my pillow and laid in front of her till she went back to sleep.
Oh I love this little girl...
