I didn't get the job. Apparently everyone thought I was wonderful and they wanted to hire me, but it wasn't a good investment because it would only be for the summer. The thought of forgetting about school to take this job permanently very breifly crossed my mind, but that's really not a smart idea. In the long run.

The "permanence" of jobs is relative at best, so.... but I'm sure you already considered that prior to making up your decision.

Sorry you didnt get the job but it sounds like you made the right decision in the long run choosing school over work (especially since for all you know you could have given up on school, taken the job and then been made redundant in a year or so, or whenever the next recession comes along). I hope you have better luck with future job hunting.
