Things have finally settled down a bit, and I've been back in NYC for a week. My dad is in rehab and expected to make a full recovery. He was T-boned on a highway by a girl going 60mph. After seeing his car, he is now one of the most lucky people I know. He had to have surgury to take his stomach down from his lungs, and lost his spleen as it was in the way, but things are on the up and up. He doesn't have any spine or brain injuries, or at least nothing has shown up yet. I'm pretty thankful for everything right now. I do appreciate the support from friends back home, and on here.
In other news, life does go on as it should. I finally got around to preparing my St. Patty's day meals this afternoon. Corned Beef in the crock pot, and Car Bomb Cupcakes that actually came out moist
Going back to Nebraska for the first time after moving was trippy. I'm reassured moving out here was the right move, I just feel more comfortable here in Manhattan.

a lucky man, indeed. Glad to hear he's on the other side of things.

Glad to hear that your dad is recovering as well as glad that Manhattan was the right choice!
