Last night after getting the preliminary "guys suck" text message I attended Girl's night. Sure, it was just me and my dear pal but we are enough to get a good party started. Needless to say between school and being broke I haven't gone out or drank in ages. So "Two-Drink" Roxsea was pretty much hammered and well on her way to being a hotter mess than she was when she started by 9 pm. Now, I've never claimed to be classy so all of you nay-sayers that are tsk, tsking my non-classy ways can shove it.
So-- due to, I'd call it my pent up, non-going out, frustration (?) I was pretty out of control even with out the alcohol lowering my inhibitions. That combined with the new city ordinances that made it mandatory for all the dance 'clubs' in town to have sprinkler systems fully installed (and therefore both my favorite haunts were not allowed to let anyone dance, WTF?!) made for an eventful night. I think this was the first time I've EVER actually bar hopped. We hit the Royal, Rumors, Glow, and the Nightlight. Which, for me is super impressive because I totally get to the bar, get my drink on and camp out. But it was this journey from bar to bar that led to the most interesting part of this story.
I ended up spotting this guy that had platinum blonde hair past his shoulders and a wicked 80's night get up and I was intrigued. Now, I do have a boyfriend but I am a firm believer in networking and I think it's ok for a girl to get outside attention within reasonable limits, so I struck up a conversation. I'm sure it was a lot less coherent than I remember but I do believe I asked him for 'his story' and he began to share that he was a Bellingham local, born and raised, and after being tired of being a drug dealer, he persuaded the owners of this particular bar (which all you locals TOTALLY know which bar, come on, Thursday night 80's night? you know) to hire him to do promotions. Pretty interesting if you ask me. Oh, and the best part was, his name was Flann-- like the Mexican dessert! Ok, I lied, the best part was his ridiculously awesome 80's hair that is a daily thing for him. That rocks. I couldn't stop stroking it. Anyways but I got him to show us around the inner workings of the establishment and we danced to the rocking 80's tunes and overall my pal and I had a great time.
During all of this though, like aforementioned, my nickname is "Two-Drink" Roxsea and I have earned that for a reason, I was pounded back mixed drinks like in the days of old when I had a slight* drinking problem. This was not a good thing and I totally felt it this morning. I woke up and literally laughed at myself. Who do I think I am? God, so I had a ton of fun, got to reconnect with one of my bestest friends AND I reminded myself that I really shouldn't drink too often
Now that dead week is over, I need to actually get my shit together and start studying. Wish me luck.
OH! and update: I got a new job. I'll have to post something on here on that whole adventure because that in itself is crazy. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend

So on those rare occasion I get blitzed, I totally feel it the next day. But there's also this humongous, underlying feeling of relaxation. Like a tremendous burden is lifted. Weird...
So, new job?
